Please checkout some of my mixes, and playlists. These will give you a bit of an idea of my personal tastes and style as a DJ and producer. I definitely love my classic soul, funk and indie and music over the super cheesy stuff. The really fun side though of playing Weddings is the diverse and wide range of music you can play in 3-4 hrs. I've played punk-rock, Somali funk, EDM, country music, Techno, classic rock, disco, Alternative rock, Trap, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, House RnB, Drum & Bass and even some Top 40 pop at weddings and it all worked for the night.
Wedding Mash-Up Mixology
A mini sample mix starting with one of the biggest Wedding tunes of the last few years Mark Ronson Ft Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk. From there it's a 115bpm trip through some old school hip-hop, pop funk, indie disco, James Brown breaks, 90's big beat, classic British punk rock and finishing with a little french indie dance via Justice. A good example of my love of mashing up old and new tunes and coming up with something fun and fresh.
Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson Ft Bruno Mars.
Apache (Mt Beats Edit) - Sugarhill Gang.
Can't Feel My Face (Mt Beats Bongo Edit) - The Weeknd.
Everything Now (Mt Beats Edit) - Arcade Fire.
A Little Less Conversation (Mt Beats Edit ) - Elvis Presley vs Junkie XL.
Should I Stay (Mt Beats Re-fix) - The Clash.
D.A.N.C.E. - Justice.
Future Hip Hop Mix
This mix is a real deep dive into future Hip-Hop, synth and sample heavy.
There are a lot of Top 100 wedding playlists out there, so I thought I'd put my own together based on the tunes I get asked to play a lot as well as others I like playing. This playlist that reflects the tracks that are consistently requested and constantly get a great response. There are a few Kiwi and Ozzie classics on hear that you don't find on other wedding playlists too. There are many guaranteed floor fillers here that always get the party started.
